Position Summary
Supervise the parts department, inventory management, supplier management, purchasing, tracking job orders/deliveries, and forecasting parts demand.
Responsibilities:
Monitor inventory stocking levels and forecast future demand
Oversee weekly cycle counts and inventory processes.
Respond to customer requests and address needs while representing the company in a professional manner.
Maintain good vendor and customer relations. Work directly with vendors for price negotiations.
Look up and create item numbers, populate into system in a timely and accurate manner.
Create and track approved internal/purchase requisitions for parts, services, and expenses.
Communicate with cross-functional departments (Operations, AMS, Shops, Management).
Oversee Purchase Orders, Quotes and Sales Orders for both internal and external customers.
Maintains process ownership from sourcing/procurement to delivery/inventory management with a focus on commitments and expectations.
Effectively demonstrate time management and organizations skills needed to complete tasks and meet time sensitive deadlines.
Assist with new supplier selection, new products, and prices to stay competitive.
Ensuring overall efficiencies of the Parts Department.
Comply with all applicable safety, environmental, and PPE policies and procedures.
Fulfills other duties as assigned by management.
Qualifications & Knowledge:
Organizational, planning and scheduling and process management skills
Analytical abilities, mechanical aptitude and strong problem-solving skills
At least 5 years’ experience in inventory processes including storing, receiving, packaging, preserving, issuing, shipping, transferring, and inventory control.
Management experience with 4 or more direct reports.
Knowledge of gas compression parts and related industry equipment.
Experience with inventory managements systems, preferably with QB Enterprise and using multi-warehouse systems.
Microsoft Office.
Requirements:
High school diploma or equivalent
Valid driver license and clean driving record
Forklift operator certification
Must exhibit a high level of dependability, a great attitude, and an ability to work well with a team towards achieving a common goal
Frequent standing, bending, squatting, climbing, stooping, twisting, reaching, working at elevated heights.
Must be able to lift and/or carry objects weighing at least 50 pounds
