Position Summary

We are seeking an experienced senior accountant for a challenging opportunity within our accounting team. This position will support the controller on all financial information including reviewing financial statements, reconciling, and preparing supporting schedules. This position is also responsible for general accounting, maintaining the organization’s overall accounting systems, procedures, and policies, ensuring accuracy, compliance with financial regulations, and timely reporting . Our ideal candidate is individually motivated,is highly organized, and has strong communication skills. The Senior Accountant often collaborates with cross-functional teams, including finance, operations, and management, to support strategic decision-making.

Responsibilities:

  • As a Senior Accountant, you will play a crucial role in maintaining the financial health and integrity of our organization
  • Responsible for a wide range of financial activities, including financial reporting, analysis, and compliance
  • Assist financial and accounting operations, including accounts payable / receivable, cash flow, general ledger, payroll, and utilities
  • This position offers the opportunity to work in a dynamic and fast-paced environment within the oil and gas industry
  • Financial Reporting: Prepare and analyze financial statements, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements, ensuring accuracy and compliance with GAAP and company standards
  • Month-End Close: Help the month-end and year-end closing processes, including journal entries, reconciliations, and accruals
  • Prepare selected aging reports and distribute to department leadership
  • Additional miscellaneous duties as assigned by the Controller

Qualifications & Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
  • Minimum of 4 years of experience
  • Profound knowledge of accounting and job costing
  • Strong understanding of GAAP and other accounting principles
  • Proficient in financial software and MS Office Suite, particularly with advanced Excel skills
  • Demonstrated ability to manage month-end processes and account reconciliation
  • Exceptional analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Strong communication and presentation skills
  • High attention to detail and accuracy
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple projects
  • Proven ability to handle confidential information with discretion

Ability to commute / relocate:

  • Granbury, TX: Reliably commute or planning to relocate before starting work (Required)
